
The Marion County Public Health Department is offering safe sitter classes for students in grades 6-8. The course is designed to prepare students to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. The instructor-led class is filled with fun games and role-playing exercises. Students get to use manikins to practice rescue skills such as choking rescue and CPR.

All classes are from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at 4012 N. Rural St.

Registration Information:
The class fee is $30. Students need to bring a sack lunch. Eligible students are encouraged to register early as classes fill quickly. There is a limited number of economic hardship scholarships available.
Registration is required and spots fill quickly! All registrations must be completed two weeks prior to the class date. Forms of payment accepted are cash, check, or money order.
