Office of Public Health Practice

The Office of Public Health Practice, in consultation with the Director, is responsible for enhancing the performance management capacity of the Marion County Public Health Department.  It does this by directing and coordinating efforts to attain and maintain national public health accreditation status, which includes continuous quality improvement plan implementation, strategic planning, workforce development and community health improvement planning.  This office is also responsible for fostering and supporting collaboration between the Health Department and its community partners in the attainment of measurable performance standards which result in a strong public health system to respond effectively to day-to-day public health issues and to public health emergencies.
