Marion County Public Health Department COVID 19 Support for Businesses

The Marion County Public Health Department (MCPHD) is working tirelessly to help contain the spread of COVID-19 in our community. MCPHD is working closely with the City of Indianapolis for a safe and balanced reopening of Marion County. Effective May 15, Marion County is ready to move into a modified version of Phase 2 of Governor Holcomb’s Back on Track Indiana Plan. For a complete look at this new phase, please read the current Public Health Order and the City’s A Safe Start to Summer Plan. These resources will provide for more information on what businesses are open and closed, as well as restrictions on the size of gatherings.

The Marion County Public Health Department is focused on an “education first” approach and on cooperation from businesses and individuals. However, we will involve the court system or the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department when necessary to enforce some violations.

If you see a restaurant that is not in compliance with the current Public Health Order, please call the MCPHD Department of Food and Consumer Safety at 317-221-2222.
